So Many Fun Activities in the library!

We read the book After the Fall by Dan Santant.

After we read the book, we discussed how we get back up even when we are scared. Students drew what they were afraid of on piece of paper. Then we made paper airplanes. We flew them across the library several times. In between each time we flew our planes we discussed how we have to keep trying when we fail. Students understood that to be successful they have to keep trying!

We read book Martin's Big Words by Doreen Rappaport.
After we read the book we discussed our dream for the world, and how kindness can help solve many problems. Students wrote about their dreams for the world.

Respect means . . . we read The Big Umbrella and The Smallest Girl in the Smallest Grade

After reading we discussed what it means to show respect to others. Students then wrote 5 ways they could show respect to others on a hand and added it to our respect tree.

New Library Books!! We had a book tasting so students could explore
what books they would like to check out.
